From humble beginnings playing together at sessions in Edinburgh, Shooglenifty have grown to become one of the biggest bands in the Scottish folk scene. Having toured across the globe from Canada to Australia and played at such prestigious events as Celtic Connections and the Edinburgh Festival, we are thrilled to welcome this truly amazing band to Fochabers for their long-overdue debut at the festival. Their sound has been described as acid croft, roots/rave and hypno-folkadelic ambient trad. But come along on Saturday, 1st August and make up your own mind. Expect exciting tunes, expect breathtaking playing, but more than anything expect the unexpected!
