Speyfest Weekend
The tented village at The Playing Fields, East Street, Fochabers is the main venue for Speyfest. Two stages, a fully licensed beer tent, a variety of high quality on-site catering and all the facilities required to run a successful festival mean that you won't need to leave the site! But should you choose to venture further afield, the heart of Fochabers is just a two minute walk away.
Speyfest "In Session" at The Grant Arms
In the week leading up to the main event at the tented village, Speyfest has a base at The Grant Arms Hotel in the heart of Fochabers. Building on the success of last year, Speyfest is promoting three "In Session" nights featuring the diverse music of Shetland's Hom Bru, the wonderful Michael Marra and the hugely talented Outside Track. Hom Bru will also lead "tunes" in the bar where anyone with an instrument will be given a warm welcome. Speyfest 2008 will bow out of The Grant on Thursday 31st July with the chance to join Cachd-ach-Cruaidh and Friends at their late night hooolie. Seating and tickets for the intimate "In Session" nights will be limited so book early to avoid disappointment. The Grant Arms is fully licensed and offers morning coffees, bar lunches, afternoon teas, high teas, and evening meals.
